This clinic serves a small refugee camp located about 35 km south of Goma. It is staffed by nurses and provides a walk in clinic, inpatient ward and obstetrics. The clinic lacks electricity and many every day medical supplies and equipment.

We need Volunteer faculty to help with continuing education for Skilled Midwives and Traditional Birth Attendants . Traditional birth attendants will be trained primarily in new born resuscitation. We conduct on site training twice per year and one per year by webinar.

The kits contain soap, biodegradable plastic bag,one sided razor blade,cord tie, 3 pair of biodegradable gloves,5 gauze squares, 2 alcohol swabs, stockinette for baby’s head.With these tools, almost anyone can deliver a baby safely.
These items are assembled into a small bag at an Assembly Day. Assembly Day is Fun.We even have Clean birthing kit home parties or office parties.
Salary of a Midwife for a month=$250.00

SUCCESS STORY
Philomene a survivor of Rape. As a result of the Rape Philomene now has a little daughter. Her story is however getting better. We have provided her with a machine. She is now taking sewing classes and receives monthly support of $28.00 from us.
